Rules, Regulations and Scoring Systems

How many players take part?

This should include starting players and any substitutes.



11 players on each team can play at one time. However there are 7 substitutes but only 3 can come on during or half way during the match.







What makes up the playing space and facilities?

3. Can you name one famous place where the sport is played?

1) The playing area looks like a big grass pitch with painted lines to show rules and what you can and can’t do. The pitch is a rectangle and the length is 100-130 yards and the width is 50-100 yards.

2)There is a white painted rectangular line around the pitch and if the ball goes out of that area it is a through on to the other team.

3) There is a famous football stadium called Wembley.













Give a brief explanation of HOW the game is played.

1. What does it take for one person or one team to beat their opponent? Imagine that you have to explain the game to someone who has NEVER played it.

1)To beat the other team you need to kick the ball into the other goal, there are two goals. You can score by passing the ball to your team mates.

2)There is a ball that you kick to your team however the other team can tackle you but to score you need to kick the ball over the white line in-between there two goal posts.

3)Whoever has most goals scored wins the game.
