three-division world champion Donnie "Ahas" Nietes was well on his way in capturing a fourth division world championship following his WBO Super Flyweight World Championship bout against fellow Negrense Aston "Mighty" Palicte at SuperFly 3, Saturday morning in Los Angeles.
Instead, the judges scorecards resulted in a Split Draw, with one judge scoring the fight 116-112 in favor of Palicte, one judge scoring it 118-110 in favor of Nietes, and one judge scoring it a 114-114 draw.
Nietes' head trainer, Edito "Coach ALA" Villamor posted the CompuBox statistics on his Facebook page, which showed that the ALA Promotions star had outlanded his younger rival.
