MY REAL TALK
Hey whats up dota player? Oh, you're wondering why you have the rating you have? Let me spit some real talk and maybe you'll think about it and improve because of it. First of all, the rating you've earned after you've played 300+ games is accurate. No you're not the exception. No you don't get shitty teams every single game and that's the reason why you lose. No you really shouldn't be in a higher bracket or have higher rating... you just suck. Just get used to it. No matter how many times you make a new account or how many times you reset your stats, your shit isn't going to get "fixed" and you aren't going to magically be much higher rated then you were before. I'm tired of hearing about how bad your teams are every game and how you dominate your lane every game and your team just feeds the game away. There is a common denominator in your game history of losses, and it's you. So sack up, stfu, and accept that you suck, and learn to get better. Oh you understand now? good. Here's some tips to help you get better, because i've played a couple of different games at the top level, and i think i have a pretty good understanding of how to get good at something.

Recognize your mistakes. Try to find one or two things out of each game you play (win or loss) that you could have done better
Learn from those mistakes. Think over the scenario again and try to find what you needed to do correctly, instead of the fail play you made.
Find someone better then you that you can learn from. Find a friend or a random guy in a pub that you can play with consistently to learn from and ask questions
You're not better then a pro player. If for some ungodly reason you are better then a pro player, you would have been noticed already. But, but, CARD... i don't know any pro players!!! If you're actually good enough to be on a pro team, you would be consistently playing against pro players in MM and they will notice you, if you're good enough.
Lastly, stop pretending like you know what you're talking about. Don't scream at your team when you die and blame them for failing, feeding, sucking, being a noob/russian. Chances are the reason you died was because something you did. Not to say everytime it is, but most of the time your position, decision to farm, bad timing caused your death.
If you read this and still think you don't suck. You're probably retarded. Every single player in the world has room for improvement in one way or another. The good players recognize it, the bad players are blind.
