1. each market behaves a little bit differently from the others. Some currency pairs are really jumpy, some move straight up and down, some don't move very much at all, some are on a consistent downward slop and have never gone up. I think there are some benefits to learning a currency pair and how it behaves, but I never really got into that, although it would be helpful. the main pairs are:

1. EUR/USD
2. USD/JPY
3. GBP/USD
4. AUD/USD
5. USD/CHF
6. USD/CAD
7. EUR/JPY
8. EUR/GBP

I stared with these but now I trade every pair I can because I just care about finding the right setup and my confidence in knowing whats going to happen.

2. Spread ensures that no matter what you sell/ buy at the broker still makes money. For instance lets say you buy a currency pair for 34. you can't immediately sell it for 34, you have to sell it for 35. This ensures that the broker makes a little bit of money each trade. It doesn't really bother me as long as the price goes in the direction I want it to. It's like why sweat over $1 when if my trade wins I make $1,000. its a very minuscule amount.

3. One way forex is different from stocks is that in stocks you can only buy it. In forex you can buy it or sell it. Think of it as "betting". if i think the price will go down I will sell it, if i think it will go up I will buy it. Forex gives you more the ability to "bet" on whether you think the price will go up or down and if you're right you make money!

4. I think what you're referring to in this quesiton is lot size. This can get tricky because of leverage, but I'm going to make a video soon on this that will explain it pretty easily! stay tuned!

5. Some would say there are. See, there are many different methods of trading. Technical analysis (my favorite and most used method) is where you analyze certain patterns the made in the past and try to predict the next one. price action, Fibonacci retracement, channels, and Elliot wave theory are all studies of technical analysis.

Another method is Fundamental analysis. This is where some people study the news and world events and trade based on these events. For instance if Japan had a huge nuclear reactor blow up JPY might take a nose dive. another example is that I made A TON of money when Donald trump became president. I can't tell you the exact reason why, but the moment donald trump won the election the USD took off and I jumped on the wave and made a ton of money. I dont typically trade using fundamental analysis because it's kind of confusing to me and much harder to predict than technical analysis but I can tell you for a fact that worldwide events affect the markets. You also have to be glued to your phone or TV to get the latest news so you can just on a trade in time and that means you have no life.

there is also Sentiment Analysis but I haven't spent much studying that. I've spent all of my time learning about technical analysis.

to answer you're question i'm sure there are "hot" times of the day where the price moves more but I don't get into that too much because I am a big trader of technical analysis.
