PATRONUS CHARM DAN PENGGUNANYA
~Bentuk~
Patronus yang benar-benar dan sepenuhnya terbentuk, atau
ragawi, mengambil bentuk hewan yang tampak cukup padat,
sedangkan sebuah Patronus non-badaniah muncul hanya
sebagai gumpalan kabut keperakan. Ini adalah sihir yang
sangat kompleks dan banyak penyihir berkualitas mengalami
kesulitan dengan itu. Harry Potter adalah salah satu penyihir
termuda yang dikenal melemparkan Patronus, ia telah
diajarkan bagaimana melakukannya pada tahun 1994 pada
usia tiga belas oleh Remus Lupin . Dalam pelajaran
Dumbledore Army, Harry mengajarkan para anggota
bagaimana menggunakan patronus.
Mantra Patronus, seperti bentuk Animagus, mencerminkan
kepribadian atau perasaan penyihir. Mereka adalah,
bagaimanapun, dapat berubah jika kastor berjalan melalui
pergolakan emosional dari beberapa macam. Sebagai
contoh, Patronus Nymphadora Tonks berubah dari bentuk
