[6:01 AM, 8/15/2018] PZ: Lim Bo Seng was a Chinese resistance fighter based in Singapore and Malaya during World War II. He is celebrated as a war hero in Singapore.

- He was a loyal Chinese patriot who took part in fund-raising to raise funds to help China in the war against Japan in 1937.

- When the Japanese War broke out in 1937, Lim and other Chinese in Singapore participated in anti-Japanese activities, such as the boycotting of Japanese goods and fund-raising to support the war effort in China.

- In December 1941, Lim was put in charge of organising a group of volunteers to resist the Japanese, who were advancing towards Southeast Asia. The volunteers put up a fierce fight against the Japanese during the Battle of Singapore in February 1942.


[7:34 AM, 8/15/2018] ZEBRA: - Lim Bo Seng was the head of the Labour Services Corps and he provided the British government with labourers for the war effort before the Japanese invasion. When the Japanese troops began advancing towards Singapore from Malaya, he and his men attempted to destroy the Causeway. Right before Singapore fell, he trained to fight in the jungle and later recruited resistance fighters for Force 136, which was a special operations force formed by the British in June 1942 to infiltrate and attack enemy lines.
