ELDER FUTHARK
Di dunia sihir, rune tidak hanya dipakai berdasarkan bentuk Elder Futhark. Jadi, banyak sekali yang bisa digunakan. Namun, Elder Futhark ini merupakan aksara awal untuk semua pemula. Bisa dibilang, ini basicnya. Jadi, kita sebagai murid yang mengambil jurusan Ministry, setidaknya tahu apa itu Elder Futhark, dan tahu bagaimana membedakan tiap-tiap hurufnya.
Ada beberapa bentuk huruf yang familiar dengan bentuk aslinya.

"KINGMOOR RING"
Rune G4-7
Dulu, hanya ada tujuh cincin yang dikenal pada periode Anglo-Saxon. Periode Anglo-Saxon itu dimulai dari abad ke-5.
Cincin ini dikenal sebagai 'Kingmoor Ring’ sejak ditemukan di dekat Greymoor Hill, di Kingmoor, Inggris.

Cincin itu berbunyi: ÆRKRIUFLTKRIURIÞONGLÆSTÆPON-TOL dengan tiga rune terakhir “TOL” ditulis di bagian dalam cincin.
Tadi yang ÆRKRIUF blablabla itu merupakan magic spell. Sejenis simsalabim abracadabra, Huruf rune tersebut berjumlah total 30 tanda. Cincin emas lain dengan huruf rune yang hampir sama ditemukan di Bramham Moor di Yorkshire.
Berbagai upaya digunakan untuk mengartikan kalimat pada dua cincin ini hingga sekarang belum berhasil.
TOL tadi juga diasumsikan bersifat magis dan cincin tersebut dijadikan amulet.
