PS has the ethical obligation to disclose the wrongdoing - duty o floyalty to the Crown, & fr the duty to serve the public good.
Kantian deontologist - rigid & rule-based approach to wrongdoing: wrongdoing is wrong doing, participation in/complicity w/ wrongdoing is always itself a form of wrongdoing --> will lead to formal disclosure

Consequentially minded person will weight the costs & benefits of various possible approaches seek mechanisms to address wrongdoing that needs to be corrected but by methods that cause the least harm to those involved - will look @ the consequences of various possible methods to address wrongdoing & try to find those that are least harmful in their effects

Virtue ethics approach- seek to discover the causes of wrongdoing in forms of personal moral corruption & to address them through remedial mechanisms., try to understand what caused the transgression, work w/ the wrongdoer to see how it compromises her character to engage in such conduct, & wk to strengthen the personal virtu of the transgressor so that she can make genuine amends & move forward w/ greater personal integrity: this approach is more educative and remedial than punitive/retributive
Wrong-doing rarely involves just one bad apply acting out, but is rather a product of multiple failures by a # of ppl in an organization. They might seek mechanisms to explore the various responsibilities borne by the different players in the wrongdoing & seek collective remedies that have support fr all those involved & explicit commitments re how each will support better conduct going forward: mediation, reconciliation & healing processes
