When an Igneous Geode is Obtained

Geodes are geode could be a kind of item that is randomly found while mining or woodcutting. Geodes cannot be traded , but can be broken to acquire one of a variety of items.

A geode is a rare item that can be obtained during mining that contains gems or other items. Mining geodes were made available as part of the Mining and Smithing rework and eliminated the chance of getting gems randomly when mining. They can be stacked with the same geode, bankable, and untradeable. By default a player has a 5% chance to get a geode each time they receive an ore piece while mining. This can be increased with levelling, but the base chance of 5% for non-core rock will remain in place.



The type of geode you receive is determined by the degree of the rock. Regular coal produces sedimentary geodes, while concentrated coal yields an igneous geode due to the greater amount of mining required. When an igneous geode is found, there is a base probability of 1% that a metamorphic geode will be found instead.



This is the baseline chance, for a more accurate chance which accounts for bonuses, refer to the mining rate calculator. Tin and copper require level 1 Mining, however getting geodes requires level 5 Mining. 1. A chance of 1% exists that an igneous geode will be replaced by a metamorphic one. Coal deposits that contain concentrated coal offer the same benefits of levelling as regular coal rocks. They aren't able to mine until you reach level 70.

These modifiers are additive to the base chance, for example mining Light animica at level 97 mining has a base 15% chance, this is increased to 23% with Refined 4, then 25% with Resourceful aura etc.[1]

Crystal geodes are gem-encrusted stones found when cutting crystal trees. They can also be used to cut Prifddinas Ivy or trees when the Voice of Seren activates in the Crwys region.

- Using 'Open all' on Geodes is now able to stop the Mining action - you'll still get XP and ore.





patch 7 January patch 7 January (Update): - Mining is a chance to gain geodes. Gems can be found in regular geodes, whereas metamorphic geodes contain rare treasures. The collector's symbol enhances the chances of geode success and increases the chance of getting double ore through Sandstone mining. Luck enhancers (rings of wealth, etc.) increase the odds that geodes will be upgraded to metamorphic geodes.
