YouTuber and Minecraft Streamer Technoblade 23, Dies from Cancer

YouTuber and Minecraft streamer Technoblade was killed at the age of 23 following an extended battle with cancer stage four.



The content creator, from San Francisco, who kept his identity secret and only disclosed his name in his final video as Alex, soared to fame after posting videos of himself playing Minecraft on YouTube back in 2013 - eventually becoming a household name after accumulating more than 10 million subscribers.

He was diagnosed with stage four cancer in August and had spent most of the last year in a secluded area as he underwent chemotherapy.



Although it's not clear what type of cancer Alex had at the time Alex continued to raise money for sarcoma charity organizations and revealed in December that he'd had surgery to remove the tumor from his arm.



In a video posted to Technoblade's YouTube channel today with the title "So long nerds," his father who is not known was able to share the sad announcement of his son's passing with his numerous fans, while relaying a posthumous farewell from the renowned YouTube star.



He called his son "the most incredible child" and shared an audio recording of his son. He said that if he had another hundred lives, he would prefer to be Technoblade once more , because these were the most memorable years of my life.

Technoblade was a very private and never shared personal details about his life. mostly posted videos about sandbox game Minecraft.



He was blessed with three sisters younger than him, one brother named Chris, and Floof, his dog, who starred in his farewell video along with his father.



He admitted that his parents divorced, and that he lived in the same house as his father who owns an entertainment studio.



After high school the student took an unplanned break before moving to Chicago where he attended college to pursue an English major.

However he moved back to San Francisco after dropping out.



In one of his videos He explained the process of creating the Tecnoblade channel with the sole purpose of building confidence and gaining 10 million subscribers.



He quickly grew a huge following, sharing multiple clips of him playing Minecraft with them, but the player never revealed his name or even his face to the fans.



He announced the shocking news about his cancer diagnosis in August in a YouTube video called "Where I've been" that has been watched over 13 million times.



In the video, he explained to his fans that he was diagnosed with cancer after thinking there was an injury to his arm and revealing: 'In the last few days of July, my right arm started to hurt quite a lot.'



The creator of the content (seen left), who had never disclosed his name or face before his final video was uploaded was diagnosed with stage four cancer in the last year.



He thought it was a stress-related injury from his playing habits and took some time off before recognizing it wasn't going to go away.
