Capoeira
Capoeira merupakan sebuah olah raga bela diri yang dikembangkan oleh para budak Afrika di Brasil pada sekitar tahun 1500-an. Gerakan dalam capoeira berupa tarian dan bertitik berat pada tendangan. Pertarungan dalam capoeira biasanya diiringi oleh musik dan disebut Jogo.
Capoeira ini juga sering dikritik karena banyak orang yang meragukan keampuhannya dalam pertarungan sungguhan. Capoeira dikritik karena banyak yang mengira tendangan ini terlihat seperti tarian.
Banyak orang yang meragukan tendangan atau gerakan pada bela diri ini juga karena terlihat santai-santai saja. Capoeira tidak saja menjadi sebuah kebudayaan, tetapi menjadi olahraga nasional Brasil, dan para guru dari negara tersebut membuat capoeira menjadi terus menerus lebih internasional, mengajar di kelompok-kelompok mahasiswa, + bermacam-macam fitness center, organisasi-organisasi kecil, dll.
