Notes

As a family gathers within the living room arguing about something minuscule. A large crackling bang silence their voices in unison. Simultaneously they all raced towards the window to search for the cause of the noise. However all they seem to see was the night sky painted with a strange orange glow, surrounding the horizon line. The family moves outside to search further but runs into the madness of neighbors of their complex scrambling in sheer panic. The family already prepared moved towards the parking lot to start grabbing the essentials to get out the area. The youngest child of the family, somewhere around the age of her early 20s, scrambles towards a light blue impala, yelling towards her family to start cyphing gas, so they would not need to make any stops. As the family is scrambling for items to load onto their vehicle, a sharp crackle whipped through the sky once more. Everyone in the parking lot froze as their gaze look towards the sky. Five round light metallic-looking spheres floated in position, hovering a hundred feet above the family and neighbors. The spherical beings did not incite excitement but moreso struck fear in the hearts of the crowd looking up at them. The youngest girl in the family walked back towards her sister, who is now besides a red lowboy, looking up at the beings. The youngest girl frantically but instinctively made her way to hid under the red low rider but could not fit. Now looking at the girl, her family followed suit hiding under whatever they could. The girl slide under the car next to the red low rider. She yelled as she slide under the car to anyone that was listening to hid under something. As the family and some neighbors ran to hide. The spherical beings in the sky, shells seem to open, giving the effect of a glass eye looking down upon the earth. As the girl laid under the car for a moment, she gazed as her sister laid under the car next to her, with a terrified look on her face. Shaking her head trying to calm her sister, shots of beaming light shot down onto the ground appearing to suck up anyone who was exposed. The girl witnessed as her neighbor seemingly hiding under the same car as her sibling, fights as it appeared the light was pulling her upwards. The neighbor screamed, clawing and digging her way to stay grounded. Due to her legs being exposed, the pull intensified. The neighbor grabbed the front bumper of the car. Lifting the car upwards a bit giving way to exposing the girl’s sibling. Her face grew more terrified that her siblings might be taken as well but before her sibling could be exposed the neighbor’s grip on the bumper was lost. She disappears within a flash upwards. Soon the ultra-bright beams are gone and the crackling sounds then fades away. The girl remains under the car as she tries to gain composure. In the moment she could not move an inch if she wanted. She was so frightened she was frozen in place breathing heavily.
