1. Find the ID of the hotel on each website you need. The way is different from site to site, but you can find it by analogy with existing hotels.
2. Find the regionid for expedia. It is used for neighbors search. Some of id's are listed in the top of expedia_prices.py, others can be found in the url of expedia search for the city.
3. Think about emails of property managers for this hotel.
4. Put the results of 1-3 into a new row of the table "Hotels".
That's all.
To add a new website.
This process is rather complicated, so there is no universal receipe. But the main steps:
1. Create a new column in the table "hotels". Fill it with id's.
2. Create 2 new spiders: for prices and reviews. Find a way to extract the data from website to the item, by analogy with existing spiders.
3. Edit export to csv and email for prices (add new columns for the view).
So 3 steps: new column with ids, new spiders for existing Items, changes of the prices views.
To edit propery managers emails:
Edit column "manager_emails" in the Hotels table. For multiple emails - separate by comma. Example:
[email protected], [email protected]
To edit summary email recepients:
Edit variable "SUMMARY_EMAILS_TO" in the settings_email.py. For multiple emails - use python list. Example:
['[email protected]', '[email protected]']
To edit emails text/subject:
Change the variables in the settings_email.py. You can choose a needed variable using searching a part of text and also by variable names (they are long, but rather clear).
