The Morning After: IPadOS 13.4 Brings Mouse and Trackpad Support

After a long time since the tablet launched it's now iPad is finally like other laptops in a crucial way: You can easily use it with a mouse or trackpad. Yesterday's iOS 13.4 update for iPadOS and iOS added this feature together with a host of other useful features , including third-party navigation applications to the CarPlay dashboard. The redesigned iCloud file share will increase its utility.



The browser is the most important thing to change. Safari for iOS, iPadOS and macOS is now blocking all cookies from third parties by default and is the first mainstream browser to do it. Google has announced it will do the same thing with Chrome, but not until 2022. The team describes this as a "significant improvement in privacy" since it removes any sense of exceptions or that "a little bit of cross-site tracking is permitted." Android makes me feel more secure, and I already use it.

Royole's FlexPai 2 is the first phone to have Royole's latest flexible display.



Royole was the first one out of the of the gate with a folding phone, and now it's ready to go back for round two. Royole claims that the FlexPai 2 will have Royole's third-generation Cicada Wing FFD, which has a significantly improved bend radius. It's now 1mm. The FlexPai 2 can bend over 200,000 times despite having a 3mm diameter.



The phone will have a better fold, perhaps even superior to Huawei's Mate Xs, which has a similar flexible outward-facing screen. ZTE is working with the company on future phones, and you may find one out in the wild.
