Let me share with you the story of my last Arctic cruise. https://mp3juice.uno It was an amazing, National Geographic journey thru the ice and back with polar bears and many more creatures. There was to be ice that eyes could see, snow and ice all around. Man-made machines were going to take on the elements and cut thru the frozen northern wasteland. It was breathtaking, as if an epic battle against weather, the north, and the pole.

I was told to take all technology that could be transported in my bag. I did carry my laptop with me and also added a large display to expand the space. The staff assured me that the electricity wasn't a problem. I wasn't sure what was about to occur. I was unaware that just two days into my 14-day trial I would find that my Internet connection would drop and I would lose internet access for the next 10 consecutive days. I was shocked when it was over. Every trip, no matter how far or difficult, is supposed to result in a disconnect from the internet. Not only was there unfinished business I had to deal with over the next week and I didn't prepare myself for the time of downtime.


It doesn't matter if people need to shut off the internet. Internet is everywhere. If your home connection has temporary problems, it is possible to locate an nearby McDonalds and utilize their complimentary WiFi connection to do what you need. You can even bring your laptop to Starbucks and place a table at the counter and surf the Internet until you're dead. There is no restaurant or cafe to aid you from north. There are hours away from the closest generator that produces electricity. There's no free Internet nearby.. There are two optionsto choose from: go offline or use satellite access.

I can't afford a Sat phone. It's way too expensive, particularly to get Internet access. Before I go out in the dark, I'll have a huge audio and video library. In the past, I had two tracks. They were both downloaded in a slow manner back then, so I had only 3 jazz tracks and one famous track that I had no idea of its title. That's it. Four tunes for two weeks of nothingness.. I would have prepared had I had known this was going to happen. I would have packed my computer with television shows and movies as well as lots of music videos. I would spend hours listening to my favourite podcasts. It's simple to download them, convert into mp3 then save to my PC. And then, I can lay in couch and listen to podcasts I love at home. This was my golden hour, 2 weeks full of gold. It was 2 weeks of looking at ceilings, and running away from passengers to catch them each when they made a noise.

It was empty physically as well as figuratively. Never have I ever been so bored. The ice was thick. I knew that this was likely to cause problems. Therefore, the boat had to be turned around and return to civilization. This was not unexpected. However, hours upon hours of downtime could have been listening to podcasts, viewing DIY videos on repairs for the home, or listening to music. The next time, I'll convert YouTube videos into MP4 or mp3 using a laptop. That way, I will be able to bring my favorite tunes with me and listen to them on my laptop. mp3 konvertáló Music can lift spirits, so don't be discouraged. mp3juices Hulu and Netflix apps allow you to download movies and shows offline.
