Anyone who has used a custom-weighted mouse with 20,000 DPI understands that communication is essential in multiplayer games. AMD hopes to make it easier to listen to your game audio when you use a microphone in-game. The new AMD Noise Suppression feature can use your graphics card to intelligently block background noises in your surroundings, such as an air conditioner or even the sound coming from your personal speakers. This feature can be used to say "gee gee GTFO" or similar phrases.
The new system is a direct competitor to Nvidia's RTX Voice feature (now part of the Nvidia Broadcast suite), which does the similar thing. nomad Despite its connection to gaming and the use of a Ryzen 5000+ CPU or Radeon RX 6000+ GPU, the AMD Noise Suppression feature doesn't limit itself to gaming-specific communication. Once it's enabled in the driver it'll work with any app that supports voice input, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Discord and the other one that nobody is able to recall.
Also included in the Adrenalin 22.7.1 driver update are some significant OpenGL improvements, which AMD claims will boost performance in games like Minecraft by as much as 90 percent on certain RX 6000 cards. Radeon Super Resolution (the older standard and not the more powerful FSR2) can now be used on notebooks that have discrete RX5000 or RX6000 cards in hybrid graphics configurations.
