Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on the 7th of December 7 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a household of faith, surrounded by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the eldest child of Elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was a founder of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of Oyakhilome families. She passed on her divine grace onto her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a collaborative effort between the families. Reverend Ken the brother of Ken is the most revered minister of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) which is where several gospel artists are among the top-selling artists worldwide.

After a scholarship was granted to pursue a degree in the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he earned an BSc degree in Architecture, and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he found his calling to serve the Lord and to be a minister.

The Man of God, while still studying at the university, founded what would eventually become one of the most influential churches in the entire world. A small prayer group known as Youth for Christ’ was formed. It would grow into one of the largest and most well-known institutions on campus. LoveWorld Incorporated would follow millions through the founding of Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated.

Pastor Chris was the leader of the LoveWorld ministry to become a pioneer in satellite TV and Christian production and programming on television. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station that broadcast from Africa to the the world, 24 hours a day, nonstop on free-to-air networks. Today, LoveWorld television stations are accessible on satellite and cable networks around the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria as well as South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church has two Healing Schools based in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris organizes sessions during the season that allow miraculous events to occur.
