In France, the law on homosexuality has been recognized since 1791. A recent survey found that 85 percent of respondents believe homosexuality is "just another way to express one's sexuality." In 1975, this number was just 24 percent. According to the Ifop organization in association with Dilcrah, 42 percent of people believed homosexuality was "an illness." Seven percent still consider homosexuality to be a perversion.
