Serena Williams' Back to The '80s Moment

Williams won the third set 4-1 but Rus was just two points better than Williams at 6-5. Williams was in the final set for the longest time since losing to Virginie Razzano in 2012 at the French Open. It was also the first time Williams was able to play back-to-back tiebreaks in the third set of her 20-plus-year career.



Williams reflected on the 1980s, when very she was viewed by a small number of people as an aspiring junior.



"At one point I was kicking my fist and saying, "Come on.' I had a crowd of people in my head or something," Williams, who turns 39 next month told reporters. "It was actually hilarious to me. I don't know. It was like there were lots of people in the area.

Djokovic's injury

Double faults



Zverev rallied from a break deficit in the third period to lead 5-4 but couldn't serve the match to the end. Zverev was again plagued by double errors, hitting five of his final two games of service and 11 overall.

Filip Krajinovic (Djokovic's friend) was the most surprising player in the match, beating Dominic Thiem 62 to 61 in one hour. Thiem lost in five sets to Djokovic in the Australian Open final. He won only two of 34 return points. This was part of what the Austrian called "horrible stats".
