Bayrock Group: From the Suburbs and Manhattan Tevfik Arif

The Tevfik Arif-driven luxury real estate development company, Bayrock Group, quickly after its establishment found itself cooperating in conjunction with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

Bayrock Group Moves from Suburbs to Manhattan
Many dream of moving to the United States to live the American dream, but only a few individuals achieve it. Tevfik Arif Turkish Kazakhstani businessman Tevfik ARIF was among them when Tevfik relocated to America in 2001. He set up Bayrock Group.

The Bayrock Group operates in New York City as an exclusive real estate development company.

The initial goal of the firm was on small to medium-sized projects like the redesign of the Loehmanns Seaport Plaza, which is an area of shopping in Brooklyn's Sheepshead, New York.

After making inroads in the American housing market, Bayrock Group was ready to expand its operations and began looking for projects with a large scope.

The Arif-driven company started collaboration with the Sapir Organization to construct a huge new building in Spring Street in New York City.

The company's growth has also prompted Bayrock Group to relocate its headquarters to the Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan.

The three companies agreed to the arrangement and the very first brick of Trump SoHo was laid in the year 2006.

Two years after, Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization together with the Sapir Organization, inaugurated Trump SoHo as their contribution to the city's skyline.

Design experts take over of the Trump SoHo
The 46 stories of Trump SoHo featured top bars and restaurants as well event and banquet rooms, pools that are open to the air and event halls, spa facilities as well as hotel suites and apartments.

Tevfik Arif Doyen Rockwell Group designed Trump SoHo's interiors. Rockwell Group is responsible for the design of a variety of extravagant hotels, cafes, restaurants as theatres and bars across the globe.

Their work includes the Tower Hotel in Mumbai and Taj Mahal Palace in India in addition to the 93rd Academy Award show, and the Amara Hotel Limassol in Cyprus.

Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization expand the partnership
Trump SoHo was an immediate huge success, which was the catalyst for Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization to look into expanding their cooperation.

Their vision was to build structures similar to Trump SoHo in Arizona and Florida in the same manner as those of Trump SoHo. In exchange, Trump SoHo would receive Trump Organization would receive 18 percent equity in this structure, in exchange to using the Trump brand. The Trump brand is back.

The Trump Organization and Bayrock Group were prepared for everything. However, the 2008 financial crisis, which terribly disrupted the American real estate market was the catalyst that put a stop to their plans.

The American housing industry was notably affected by the economic crisis. Tevfik Arif Doyen Tevfik Aif, the founder of Bayrock Group, decided to quit his American ventures. He made the decision to move to Europe, Asia and where began his career more than a decade ago.

While Tevfik Arif is no longer an active part of Bayrock Group, he is still a respected advisor to different divisions within Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group has not been involved recently in real estate developments in the United States.
