Hello, Chiron. When attempting to communicate my thoughts and feelings to people who are likely to misinterpret them, I find writing to be a more effective method than speaking. Unfortunately, writing isn't always a viable option, and when I'm forced to communicate verbally, the situation feels like a presentation or oral exam in which it's me against everyone else. I feel as though I inhabit a completely different world than those around me, and that they cannot comprehend my perspective. I worry that revealing the remaining 20% of the truth could have negative repercussions and disrupt the situation.

Even when I do express my feelings on a particular topic, it often seems fruitless because the immediate response is often, "you knew all along that the outcome would be as it is, so what's the point in sharing your thoughts now?" Although I do understand this perspective, it's difficult to choose a side and remain content with it when I can empathize with both points of view.

It's similar to when we acknowledge that our loved ones will eventually pass away, but this doesn't necessarily prepare us for the inevitable emotional distress. We still grieve and cry as humans. No one says, "I know he's going to die, so I'm fine." I don't wish to burden others by repeatedly sharing my problems with them. Is it inappropriate to seek emotional support or look for someone who can help me express myself more effectively when I'm in front of many people?
What should you do if you find yourself alone and facing a difficult situation, but deep down, you know that you cannot handle the negative emotions on your own?
