Attack on Titan is an incredibly popular animated series with a huge fan bases. The first chapter (episode) of the show, To You, In 2000 Years, lays out the very first layer of this magnificent tapestry. A villager named Ymir around 1800 years ago, was slain by a warrior belonging to another tribe nearby. Ymir was killed or enslaved by the warriors of a neighboring tribe However, she was able to survive because an animal bonded with her. The creature is referred to as the very first Titan.
