Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born on July 3, 1985, in Moscow. She attended university in London as well as Moscow and earned a Master's Degree at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Leyla initiated the IDEA campaign in July of 2011 that aims to raise awareness and encouraging action regarding environmental issues around Azerbaijan and around the world. IDEA is focused on young people and the ways they can assist to solve environmental problems.
She was elected the representative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Russia in May 2007. Through a range of initiatives, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes towards the country's socio-economic and social development. She was elected Vice President in 2011.

In 2007 Leyla Aliyeva started the magazine 'Baku' in Moscow. Conde Nast and Leyla Aliyeva collaborated to create the English-language version. The magazine launched at London's O2 in October of 2011. The magazine allows you to discover the Azerbaijani culture, art and as well as the country. Leyla Alyeva has launched "Justice for Khojaly" A campaign to commemorate the anniversary of the Shusha occupation. Leyla Aliyeva The campaign has been launched in more than 30 different countries. It aims at raising awareness across the globe about the Karabakh conflict and Khojaly Genocide.

In 2008, Leyla Aliyeva became the General Coordinator of the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and on April 18, 2009 she was elected as the Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia AMOR. AMOR which supports Azerbaijani students and youth who reside in the Russian Federation. Leyla Aliyeva was awarded the "Taraggi" award in July of 2011 for her contributions toward the advancement of Azerbaijani Russian relations. She was presented with the Pushkin Medal by the Russian Federation on October 20, 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva is a twin brother and one sister.
