Your Texas learner license or Texas driver license with B restriction
The driving test fee (http://dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/fees.htm) or the payment receipt if you already paid. (Note: payment is good for only 90 days. The date of expiration is listed on the payment receipt. You will be required to make payment again after expiration.
Completion of Impact Texas Driving (ITD) is required for all individuals taking a drive skills test. You are required to present a certificate of completion before taking the drive test and it must be dated within 90 days of the scheduled appointment. Complete ITD requirements may be viewed at: https://impacttexasdrivers.dps.texas.gov.

This driving test is for Class C licenses (passenger cars) only, not commercial driver license (CDL) tests.
If you are younger than 25, bring proof of driver education. Depending on the type of class you took, you will need to provide one of these documents:
Texas Driver Education Certificate (DE-964) and driving logs
If the course is completed through a parent-taught driver education course, the applicant must present BOTH:
(1) A Texas Driver Education Certificate (PTDE-964 or DE-964), certifying both classroom and behind-the wheel instruction.

(2) The document applicable to the type of license below:

Learner license:Classroom Instruction Driver Education Affidavit (DL-90A)

Provisional license:Behind-the-Wheel Instruction Driver Education Affidavit (DL-90B)

Hardship license:Behind-the-Wheel Instruction Driver Education Affidavit (DL-90B)

An applicant required to complete an adult driver education course must present one of the following:

Adult Driver Education Certificate (ADE-1317)
Texas Driver Education Certificate (PTDE-964)
If you're under 18, a Verification of Enrollment (VOE) form, high school diploma or GED
Proof of current liability insurance (in paper format - proof via smart phone will not be accepted) for the vehicle to be used for the road test.
A vehicle for the road test that meets all of these requirements:
Current registration sticker
Two license plates with the front plate attached to the bumper (not required if you are borrowing the vehicle and it is properly registered in a state that does not require two plates).
No unusual mechanical issues (such as having doors that do not open from inside or outside the vehicle -- this will result in failure of the vehicle inspection.

Rental Vehicles: You must show proof that the rental vehicle is covered by liability insurance either by accepting the liability damage waiver when you rent the vehicle or by showing proof that your personal auto liability insurance covers rental vehicles
Please arrive one hour early for your appointment for processing and/or payment. If you do not arrive one hour early, your appointment may be rescheduled.
