I cherish you.

To that boy who has always been by my side through the goods, the bads and the uglys. There were times when he was the reason for my "roller coasters" but mostly he was there at the end of them all, waiting for me ..to show me how nothing's changed because HE is still there. You, I cherish you.

To that girl who I crossed paths with in 2009 and how conveniently we ignored each other! Now to think how our friendship has grown, I thank the stars for making us meet again. We might be miles apart but that doesn't stop us from knowing every nitty gritty detail of each other's lives. We aren't friends. We are bros. You, I cherish you.

To that mother who I don't even want to start writing about because I know I will cry. A day doesn't go by when I don't let out a silent prayer for her. To the one I don't want to imagine life without. From abcd to being a strong woman - she taught me everything I know today. Only I know how I'm staying so far away from you. You, I cherish you.

To that crackpot of a brother who I've had million fights with but at the end of the day I'm ever so glad that he is there. "Relax", he says and I try. You, I cherish you.

To that cousin who has been the sister I never had. That one person in the family who I have always shared a rocky relationship with. So different, yet so alike - We couldn't stay without fighting with each other when we were 10 and the same will be the case when we turn 50 and that makes me love you even more. You, I cherish you.

To that girl who I've known since forever. We might not talk for months together but when we meet it's almost magical. To the person who I can just sit and talk with for hours and hours, who I can say anything to without the fear of being judged. No one knows me better than you. You, I cherish you.

To that silly over dramatic boy who happens to be even more dramatic than me. I may scold him, I may lecture him, I may pull his leg (a bit too much) but he will always be a dear friend. You, I cherish you.

To that "new" friend who has become so close in a span of 3 months. I've always said - of all the things Dubai gave me, you're the best thing I got. We argue, we fight and most of the times we are busy playing "fake" with each other but I'm certain that i've got your back and you've got mine. You, I cherish you.

It's been a tough year and I lost someone who suddenly disappeared without giving me a chance to tell him what he meant to me. I don't want to be in a place again where it gets too late to express my gratefulness for all the lovely people I've met in 24 years of my life.
