Part II (your part)
-For best tilt, it is in the middle of the duration of sunlight during peak hours. For example, if on March 21
the peak hours are from 5-10 pm, and the sunlight goes from 5 to 7, you should adjust the tilt for 6 oclock to maximize the sunlight.
-We will assume 5-8 am, 5-10 pm. Tilt should be about maximized for both morning and night, ie 6 am tilt = 6 pm tilt (approximately, make adjustments as you see fit).
-Azimuth will be 180 degrees as if you maximize it for nighttime, it will be minimized for morning, so might as well go for noontime azimuth.
-Calculate the power saved per day (for one day each season). Use the excel sheet for necessary equations. Make a table that has the ideal tilt, azimuth, power saved, money saved (research how much it cost per kwH over limit)
-Helpful hint: you should average the amount of power from the peak hours, multiply by number of hours (8). This is the amount of energy saved each day in kwH. Power is derived with all of the equations in excel. Use march 21, jun 21, sep 21, dec 21 for data points.
-Do all of the bibliography. If you don't know some or have any questions just leave the rest to me. (Dont forget the footnote which cites 2 sources - the navy page and the insolation page)
