Yeah, I think that’s doable in a force multiplier sprint, as long as you keep your change targeted to properties that have a setter implemented for them (things like the Visible property on widgets).
You can totally leverage some of the tech from the CUI Property Watch functionality. The follow_path() function in cui_debug.cpp will help you find a particular component and property when given a string based path, and I think that’ll do a lot of the heavy lifting for you. Other than that, it’s all about converting whatever string you have for a property argument into a c_property_value and calling the setter function with that property value.
I know you’re only considering Boolean conversions right now, but you may want to do that conversion in a function that’s parallel to the cui::convert_property_value_to_string function. That way other supported conversions can be put in there in the future too. If you want to go the extra mile and have the time, there’s the csatoi, csatof, and csatol functions, and the string hash constructor that can help you with converting strings to other property types.
