Combating summer learning loss at an affordable rate, the staff members at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver work tirelessly all year-round to provide outlets for kids and families who need us most. This summer, three of our Clubs (Godsman, Force, and Johnson Boys & Girls Clubs) are combining forces to deliver a seven-week comprehensive summer camp to more than 300 youth. Designed for children ages 5-15, Pin Chasers’ weeklong day camps cater to beginners and more advanced bowlers alike, with plenty of other fun to be had! Wrap up each day with a relaxing evening around the campfire with friends for an unforgettable adventure. Spend the afternoon at one of the park’s scenic beaches and share stories of your adventures around a cozy campfire. The trip will conclude with a bike ride through the heart of the island and a relaxing afternoon at the beach. We’ll begin with an afternoon of professional paddling instruction before loading up our canoes for a two-day float downriver to develop our Leave No Trace wilderness ethic and build outdoor skills. Participants practice hands-on skills in conservation and outdoor living and develop knowledge of the region's natural history. Professional paddling instructors will take our skills to the next level as we visit oxbow lakes, secluded islands, and riverside Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuaries.
