- Sebagai alat pembentuk modal
Syarat - syarat uang : - Mudah dipindahkan (portability)
- Awet dan tidak mudah rusak (durability)
- Mempunyai nilai tetap (Stability of value)
- Diterima dan diketahui secara umum oleh masyarakat (acceptability)
- Mudah di bagi tanpa mengurangi nilai (divisibility)
- Jumlahnya terbatas dan tidak mudah dipalsukan (scorcity)
- Kualitasnya hanya satu macam sehingga mudah dikenal (uniformity)
