/me Winter was fast approaching- if not already obvious by yet another cold day. The build up of frost made the surround landscape seem even more dull and bleak then usual even in the darkness of the night- but to Sal, that didn't matter.

For once, the turquoise haired male was without his friends, his dad, or even his cat at his side- as at that point it was way past 10 at night, and mostly everyone was back in their homes, hopefully asleep and unsuspecting of him being gone... And, as he managed to sneak out without disturbing most of the residents over the past few nights, he hoped it stayed that way.

Though, he still left a cautiously written note back on his bed. In case he didn't return.

The threat of him potentially getting hurt or dying when out on his own was very much a real one- mostly because of the ever lingering presence of the cult, as inactive as they may see, and the other possible paranormal horrors... And, wondering around in the woods in the dead of night didn't do any favors either.

He could feel it within his bones that something was off about it- that there was a veil of horrible dread present over the peaceful looking scenery. He flinched at the sound of every stick breaking or owls hooting ominously in the distance, the breath of tragedy still lingering in the cold air.

Memories that were buried within the depths of his mindscape brushed at the edge at his panic as well- bringing back disjointed memories of a warm day that was supposed to filled with laughter, and instead bringing one filled with the opposite affect.

But- he forced himself to calm down as he wondered through the path, not far off from the beginning of a nearby trail. The light from his flashlight was dim, but it didn't detour him as he searched through the foliage for something- the feeling of the frost making his hands long since go numb.
