• Fungsi Accio, untuk memanggil atau melayangkan benda dari kejauhan
• Accio berasal dari bahasa latin yang berarti "I Summon", "I Call", atau "Action". dalam terjemahan Hungaria, mantra ini bernama Invito, yang berarti "To Invite".
• Menurut Miranda Goshawk, mantra ini umumnya digunakan oleh Accionites dan pemimpinnya, yaitu Gideon Flatworthy. Mulanya, mantra ini digunakan oleh anak seorang pemilik pot (dalam dongeng The Wizard and The Hopping Pot) untuk memanggil keledai miliknya yang hilang.
• Accio adalah mantra tertua di dunia sihir.
• Accio tak bisa untuk 'memanggil' suatu bangunan. Tidak dianjurkan juga untuk memanggil hewan.
Karena jika dipanggil, mereka akan berpindah dengan kecepatan yang hampir menyamai kecepatan cahaya. Jadi dalam perjalanan, besar kemungkinan mereka akan terluka.
• Mantra ini pernah digunakan Harry Potter pada tahun 1995 untuk kabur dari Death Eaters, dengan cara men-summon piala Triwizard yang ternyata adalah Portkey
